At Sonic, our proprietary drilling technique offers rapid production rates in appropriate soils using small diameter equipment - typically up to 300mm diameter.

The system is centred on a patented drilling head which applies high frequency energy to the drill string to supplement the more traditional rotary and axial forces also employed.

The method is particularly suited to deep drilling in overburden soils and weak rocks and typical applications are in the well drilling, probing and exploration fields.

It is even possible to apply the system to hollow-bar techniques such as used for soil nailing and such like.
